Autumn Walkies and a Quilt Top

I love autumn. No, really, it's my absolute favorite season. Colors come out, things turn cooler (have I mentioned before that I can't stand hot weather?), it's the perfect time for soup, quilting, and leisurely walks. Yesterday, I did just that - took a walk with my sweetie!

We decided to circumnavigate a lake. (Look at me using a triple score word!) Living in Minneapolis, we have quite a few lovely city lakes, many of which have paths all the way around. Here are a few of the lovelies we saw on our walk.

The squirrel in the last pic was so funny. We stopped to look at him, and he went very still, trying to hide from us. When D stepped forward, the squirrel came around to the other side of the tree and resumed is crouched, hiding position. So cute!

That evening, I was able to finish up a quilt top. Tonight, I'll try to get the back done and start basting. This baby (quilt) is going to Bumble Beans Basics and MUST be there before their final gifting event in November.

What's that you say? Aren't I working on other quilts, say, five or more? Hush, you.

Tune in later this week when I will have a tutorial to make pretty fat quarter bouquets for your holiday or thank you gifting or simply to prettify your sewing space!
